WHAT IS CARDIOLOGY AND CARDIOVASCULAR SURGERY?
Cardiology is a medical subspecialty dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of heart and blood vessel diseases. Our doctors and their staff, along with their peers, have worked to develop a state-of-the-art cardiovascular center to serve this community and its surrounding area.
Our cardiologists are board certified and members of the American College of Cardiology and are affiliated with St. John's Regional Medical Center. In addition, they have established outreach cardiology clinics in Aurora, Cassville, Columbus, Fort Scott, Girard, Miami, Nevada, Oswego, and Pittsburg. Our cardiovascular surgeons are also board certified and members of the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic and Cardiac Surgery.
Many procedures can be performed within the office complex, such as stress echoes, ambulatory monitors, cardiac ultrasound with doppler, nuclear stress testing, pacemaker checks, and cholesterol management. The availability of many of these services during your initial evaluation provides you and your physician with much of the information necessary to make an accurate diagnosis and to formulate a treatment plan.
